01 — The custodian

A custodian is someone who uses his resources and holds himself responsible, to create a world where everyone can live according to their hearts desire  in symbiosis with their natural environment, and within a nurturing community.

IMPACT

Where capital becomes the leverage for lasting change

In the hands of the ones that have a calling.

What IMPACT does

IMPACT connects custodians around the world and channels their capital into buying farms and hotels, transforming them into sanctuaries of connection for future custodians, held together by a wide bandwidth of events.

Why it matters

Creating the birthplace of a new way of living together — by addressing humanity’s biggest blind spot.

03 — Core

Developmental trauma

Humanitys biggest
blind spot

As long as the root stays untouched, the suffering continues.

The first years

A human being comes into the world with a body that, in its first years, fully relies on safe and nurturing connection with its caregivers to develop a healthy relationship to life and to itself. When those caregivers fail to provide that — at a time when the child’s survival is entirely at their mercy — the body shifts into a state of emergency. The child develops unconscious strategies that turn against itself in favour of its caregivers. Because it is safer for a child to see itself as a bad child of loving parents, than a loving child of bad parents. This is the only way for the child to survive.

Survival strategies

What is often underestimated is how little it takes, in this vulnerable phase, for a child to reshape itself profoundly. Occasional emotional neglect, or the crossing of a child’s boundaries, is enough to leave a lasting mark on how that child relates to itself, and to everything else in existence.

These strategies exist to protect whatever safe connection is possible or, in even more unsafe environments, to mimic an intact one. These adaptations stay for the rest of adult life — if not updated — as they are deeply programmed into the nervous system.

Every area of life

They dominate a person’s relationships and, beyond that, every area of life — the work one chooses, one’s interests, even the illnesses and accidents one attracts. What causes the suffering in adulthood is not the trauma itself, but the persistence of survival strategies that were once appropriate.

The control, war and exploitation system on this earth rests on this early traumatisation, which most people are affected by, as it leads people to be isolated, shapeable and compliant. And as a result it created a world where humans hold their own cell door shut from the inside.

Why it stays hidden

That is why it is such a deep blind spot. It makes the path to the actual solution difficult, because the nervous system does not want a certain amount of closeness to another human — it still appears as life threatening.

The only real leverage

The only real leverage we have for lasting societal change is to bring humanitys biggest blind spot into the light and to go forward by good example.

04 — Who these places serve first

Orientation over title

The future custodians

For those who have always turned upwards, but haven’t yet found the roots to bring it to earth.

Roots of an old tree in a misty forest

Who this is for

The offer intentionally addresses a specific type of person: someone with the courage and ambition to do what it takes to overwrite and transmute their inner safety mechanisms.

It also speaks to people who have already gathered experience around spiritual concepts and found out for themselves that it did not address the root cause. Someone in that state of having already tried things, committed, tends to appreciate it once they actually find something that works. And someone who went that path may already have experienced glimpses of something whole and vast, and is often rather receptive to creating an impact for the whole.

A few of the right people

A few of the right people — the ones who carry the change outward — can set more in motion than thousands of others ever could.

They have moved through spiritual work, retreats and transcendental experiences, and many have already developed a sense of connection towards something greater, something infinite that connects us all, and the knowing that we are powerful beyond imagination. Even though they have understood it, it is not a given that they have also gained the capacity to bring that power into their reality. What might have been overlooked are the internally hidden, distance-creating mechanisms that obstruct a free flow of energy.

The last puzzle piece

Turning towards that root-cause work is like the last puzzle piece: a revolution for the nervous system, opening the door to live at the full capacity of their livelihood, and to a deep sense of connection with themselves, with others, and with the world at large.

Once we are safely rooted and aware of our heart’s desire, we naturally turn towards expanding connection and transformation for our environment and the world.

“A couple that overcame their childhood story together can transform a whole village.”

A quote I once heard — and I really believe so.

Where readiness meets the work

These are the future custodians. Maybe not yet by wealth or title, but by orientation — drawn to the whole and ready to give themselves to something meaningful. And this place is where that readiness finally meets the work that can carry it.

05 — About the founder

Fabio Keuchen

Why I am
building this

The path of becoming a custodian, as laid out above, is exactly how I experienced it myself.

The search

For years I had been looking for something — NLP, self-optimisation, plant medicine, Kundalini energetic work, and many more — all fuelled by a subtle inner tension and a need to fill something like an inner void. Now I know what was missing: the fulfilment of a basic need of my body, the need for nurturing relationship, which I, without knowing it, was unconsciously sabotaging. And no matter how hard I believed it at times, the truth is that no spiritual concept, no plant, and no meditation can substitute for that.

What changed

Since 2024, when I firmly turned toward something that, back then, sounded exactly like what I had been suffering from, a lot has transformed within me. What surprised me was that within the process, the things I once had to force began to shift on their own, without efforting.

A partnership that had been destructive and unstable became a stable, nurturing union. The drugs fell away; I began to eat a high-vibrational diet and live with care and responsibility. The scarcity I used to operate from turned into being able to give without expecting something back. The frustration and overwhelm gave way to a sense of peace, and a real appreciation for life. And lastly, the feeling of being lost dissolved into a life of clear purpose and fulfilment.

Even though I had felt, from a young age, a sense of connection to something higher and vast, all I really wanted was to feel safe enough within relationships to embody my authentic self.

Experience and allies

In my twelve years of self-employment I have gained experience in, among other fields, promotion, gastronomy, catering, event planning and execution, sales, online marketing, business consulting, and mediation — each one, secretly, a piece of exactly the skill set a project like this asks for. My core values today are justice, truth, and freedom.

For many years I have been looking for allies who are serious about co-creating positive change in the world. And I am grateful to see that this is becoming a reality now.

06 — Concept

Two brands, one ground

Each place is brought to life in two ways — one for the inner work, and one for what grows from it. The two build on each other, and together they make room for a range of retreats with different intensities, open to people of different means, time, and interest.

06.1 — Rootcause · Retreat brand

The inner work

The inner work

Retreats that reach the root most approaches leave untouched.

Where it looks

What sets it apart is where it looks. Most spaces work on the symptoms, or lean on a single method. Rootcause treats the survival mechanisms of childhood as the actual root of adult suffering, holds several proven modalities under one roof, and offers this depth of work in English — where it is often hard to find.

Who it is for

It is built for people at a real crossroads — heartbreak, job loss, burnout — who have already walked the usual paths and are done with spiritual bypassing, yet still sense they belong to something larger than themselves. These are people open to transformation, familiar with approaches like meditation, breathwork and the workings of the nervous system, still looking for the ground where it all becomes real.

The retreat

Rootcause Retreats bring together the most effective methods for developmental trauma — NARM, floating, Honest Sharing and somatic work — in one place. Together, they help people override the distancing mechanisms they built in childhood, come back into real connection with themselves and others, and slowly build the capacity to move toward what their hearts desire. That last part is never the stated goal; it is what tends to happen on its own.

Retreats run in different lengths, from two to fourteen days, so people can come with very different time budgets and still find a way in.

A space for growth, not a clinic

Rootcause is a space for personal growth, not a clinical one. It makes no therapeutic or medical claim and is designed for people with stable mental health. It does not take on acute or severe cases; where someone needs clinical care, Rootcause declines and refers them to the appropriate professionals.

Length

Two to fourteen days

Methods

NARM · Floating · Honest Sharing · Somatic work

Held in

English, and German on request

06.2 — Ripple · Co-living brand

What grows from it

The first physical community exclusively for custodians

Longer co-living retreats where the right people meet, live alongside each other, and let something lasting begin.

What Ripple is

Ripple co-living retreats create the space for what emerges when custodians who are serious about creating positive change are in genuine and unefforting connection with each other.

Length and rhythm

These are longer retreats, from fourteen to thirty days. They hold the same approaches present in Rootcause, but with less intensity — the focus here is mediation rather than transformation. Trained facilitators hold the space, and when tension or conflict arises between people, they help bring it straight to its core. Deeper transformation can still happen, but it is not the aim.

Who gathers

A community space of like-minded people who share similar worldviews, a developed capacity for contact, and the ambition to leave a lasting mark on the world.

The hypothesis

The concept rests on a simple hypothesis: when the right people meet in a natural environment, supported by professionals to move past inner distance-creating mechanisms should they arise, the rest falls into place on its own — and leads to beginnings that create impact beyond imagination.

Ripple just gives the space for it. What comes of it belongs to the people who create it.

Length

Fourteen to thirty days

Concept features

Two brands, one ground

What every place holds

The ground beneath both brands — the methods, the setting, and the way a stay is held.

01 — Methods

Reaching the root

NARM, floating, Honest Sharing and somatic work held under one roof, rather than a single method carrying the whole weight.

02 — Length

Two to thirty days

Stays scale in length and intensity, so people can come with very different time budgets and still find a way in.

03 — Facilitation

Held, not hosted

Trained facilitators hold the space, and when tension arises between people, they help bring it straight to its core.

04 — Language

Worked in English

Depth work of this kind is hard to find in English. Here it is the working language, with German held alongside it.

05 — Setting

Land, not a venue

Farms and hotels transformed into places of connection — unhurried, and away from the pace that formed the pattern.

06 — Circle

A group that can hold it

Small circles of people with a comparable capacity for contact, so what happens between them has somewhere to land.

Both are spaces for personal growth, not clinical ones. Neither makes a therapeutic or medical claim, and where someone needs clinical care, we decline and refer them on.

07 — The demand case

Why guests will come

A place beyond the system to feel home

Two of the fastest-growing markets in the world — and the open space between them.

Two growing markets

This concept sits at the intersection of two of the fastest-growing markets in the world: wellness retreats and mental wellbeing. Both are driven by the same forces — rising loneliness, chronic stress, a growing awareness of mental health, and a search for real human connection.

What the market lacks

What the market still lacks is exactly what this concept offers. Most of what exists promises short-term relief of symptoms. What we offer is a structured, community-based approach that works toward the root — the patterns we form in early childhood and the relationships built on them — in a natural, unhurried setting.

A growing need

And the need is growing, not shrinking. As work and old certainties shift beneath people’s feet, more and more will find themselves at a genuine crossroads. Most places offer them a pause. This offers a real and lasting answer.

Reach of the methods

The approaches themselves each carry a meaningful reach of their own, which supports how the project is seen — by guests, by practitioners, and by the people who choose to help build it.

08 — The long-term vision

It begins with one

A network of places custodians can call home

Building the ground for future towns.

The pilot

This first location is a pilot — the proof that a different way of living together can be built, and held. But the vision does not end at one piece of land.

A network of places

Imagine a network of these places across the world: each one a home for the deep work, a ground where custodians meet, and a living example of what becomes possible when people come back into real connection. Not retreats you visit and leave, but the seed of a new way to settle, live, and build together.

It can work anywhere

If it works here, it can work anywhere. And as each place gives rise to the next, something larger takes shape — not a chain of retreats, but the early architecture of a new earth, made real one location at a time.

It begins with one

That is the scale of what this could become. It begins with one.

Our capacity to destroy one another is matched by our capacity to heal one another. Restoring relationships and community is central to restoring well-being.

Dr. Bessel van der Kolk — trauma psychiatrist and researcher

09 — The ways in

Investors · Supporters

The way in begins with a conversation

A vision like this can only be realised together. When a group of people come together with the same intention, we can move mountains.

Way in — 01

Investors

Some custodians build with capital — resources placed behind a place, and a way of living, that they believe needs to exist.

To invest here is to help bring a real place into being, and to become part of the circle of people creating it, with everything that asks and everything that is at stake. Capital is at risk here, as it is in anything real; a project like this can grow into something lasting, or it can fail entirely.

If this is your way in, the next step is a conversation. What that involvement looks like — the form it takes, what it asks of you — is something we discuss directly, in person, with the people we invite to go further.

Way in — 02

Supporters

Not every custodian of a place like this arrives with capital. Some carry a craft, a skill, a network, or simply the time and devotion to help something real take shape.

A place like this is built by many hands. Some bring the trades that raise and tend the land. Some bring what they know — law, design, building, marketing, the practical knowledge a project like this needs. Some open doors, connecting it to the right people. What matters is not the form of the contribution, but that it is given with genuine care.

If you sense you belong here, but your way in is through what you can do rather than what you can fund, there is a place for you. We are looking for the people who want to build this as much as we do.

10 — Contact

By invitation

It begins with one conversation

For those who are ready, the next step is a call. For everyone else, there is a quieter way to stay close to the journey.

01 — The first call

Book a first conversation

An unhurried call, in person and without a pitch, to see whether this is your place and your moment. Pick a time that suits you.

02 — For a later moment
